CSCI 101: Intro to Computer Science
Lab 1.3: Downloading software from the Internet
This lab is NOT obligarotory for this course, so you can simply skip it if you are stuck. All the tasks related to this course can be successfully done by using Internet Explorer browser, which should be already installed on your system if you are running Windows.
There are several most widely used Internet browsers like Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Opera. They all are very similar in use, however might have slightly different behavior on some Internet sites. For example, Internet Explorer does not support text blinking and, on the other hand, has some features that are not supported by Netscape browsers.
The Mozilla browser is evaluated by the PC World Magazine as the "Best browser of 2003".
If you do not have Mozilla browser installed on your computer, you can download the current version for free from the Mozilla site
