HTTP Delay Estimation

This applet visually illustrates HTTP delays for the retrieval of a Web page consisting of a base HTML page and a number of objects. The applet assumes that all objects are of the same size (including HTML object). The user is allowed to make certain choices, including the number of objects (in addition to the HTML object) and the transmission delay in terms of the RTT.

Based on these inputs from the user, the applet shows the total response time in terms of RTTs. Additionally, the applet provides the total response time from the moment a Web page is requested to the time when the complete Web page is obtained.

This applet was coded by Pratima Akkunoor. It was designed as a project work of course no. EEE 459/591, assigned by Prof. Martin Reisslein, Arizona State University.
